Antistatic floors are designed to reduce or prevent the build-up of static electricity. They are particularly important in sensitive environments where static electricity can cause damage or interfere with the operation of electronic equipment, such as computer rooms, laboratories, clean rooms and electronics manufacturing facilities.

Types of Antistatic Flooring

Conductive Vinyl Flooring (Antistatic PVC)

Advantages: Easy to install, simple maintenance, available in a variety of colours and patterns.

Disadvantages: Less durable than other options.

Antistatic Rubber Flooring

Advantages: Very durable, wear-resistant, provides excellent comfort underfoot.

Disadvantages: More expensive than vinyl.

Antistatic carpet

Advantages: Comfortable, reduces footfall noise, available in several designs.

Disadvantages: Requires more rigorous maintenance to maintain its anti-static properties.

Conductive epoxy resin

Advantages: Very durable, resistant to chemicals, easy to clean.

Disadvantages: More complex and costly to install.
